POORI MASAL / POTATO MASAL

Ingredients:
  1. large potato-1
  2. large onion-1/2cup  
  3. large tomato-half
  4. green chili-5
  5. channa dal-1/4tsp
  6. mustard seeds-1/2tsp
  7. corn flour/gram flour-1tsp
  8. curry leaves
  9. turmeric powder-1/2tsp
  10. salt-to taste
  11. oil-for frying
  12. water-11/2cup
  13. coriander leaves(optional)


Method:
  • take a pressure cooker,add 3tsp of oil,mustard seeds and channa dal.
  • channa dal comes in golden brown add gram/corn flour and mix well.
  • after add finely chopped onions and tomatoes .fry 2mins.
  • add chopped potatoes,salt,turmeric powder and mix well.
  • finally add some water and coriander leaves.
  • after close the pressure cooker upto 8 or 9 whistles.

Serving:
  • poori
  • dosa
Note:
  • same can be used for making masal dosai
