  1. Soy chunks-1/2cup  
  2. Boiled Rice-1 1/2cup
  3. Shred cabbage-1/3cup
  4. Shred carrot-1/4cup
  5. Green peas-1/4cup
  6. Tomato-4tsp
  7. Large onion-1/2cup
  8. Green-chili-2
  9. Coriander powder-2 1/2tsp
  10. Red-chili powder-1 1/2tsp
  11. Turmeric powder-1/2tsp
  12. Gram masala-1/4tsp
  13. Cinnamon-1/4stick
  14. Cloves-4
  15. Bay leaf-2
  16. Ginger-garlic paste-1tsp
  17. Coriander leaves
  18. Salt-to taste
  19. Oil/Butter-3slices
  20. Cashew-nuts-10

  • Soy chunks is cooked in a large pot of boiling water.After switch off the flame,wait for 7mins.
  • Press the soy chunks squeeze and filter the water.
  • Take a kadai,add 3 or 4 pieces of butter.Butter melts in stage add cinnamon,cloves,bay leaf, finely chopped onion,ginger-garlic paste, green chili and cashew-nuts.
  • Add finely chopped tomatoes,green peas and add all vegetables and mix well.Fry 8mins.

  • After add soy chunks and add all powders,gram masala,salt ,coriander leaves and mix well.
  • Add boiled rice and mix well.Wait for 5 or 6mins.Finally add some coriander leaves.
  • Hot and serve with "thayir pachadi".
