- Sooji/Rava-150g
- Large/small onion-1/2cup
- Green-chili/Red-chili-3 or 4
- Sliced Carrot-1/3cup
- Green Peas-1/3cup
- Channa dal-1/2tsp
- Mustard seeds
- Curry leaves
- Crushed ginger-few
- Oil-4tsp
- Salt-to taste
- Water-3cups
Method:
- Heat a non-stick pan and add oil.Heat comes in oil add mustard seeds ,channa dal,oions and green/red-chili.
- Onion comes in golden brown add sliced carrot and peas.Wait for 6mins.
- After add 3cups of water,salt and crushed ginger.
- Slowly add the sooji/rava in boiling water and mix well.
- Add some oil on top of the sooji/rava upma.
- Hot and serve with "coconut chuttney,garlic pickel,toor dal sambar and sugar".
