  1. Onion-1
  2. Tomato-1/4tsp (optional)
  3. Red-chili-3
  4. Garlic-1cloves
  5. Tamarind-a pinch
  6. Cumin seeds-1/4tsp

For Seasoning:
  1. Curry leaves
  2. Mustard seeds
  3. Asafoetida
  4. Sesame oil
  5. Salt-to taste
  6. Oil
  • Take a kadai,add 1 1/2tsp of oil,onion,red-chili,garlic,cumin seeds,tomato and fry well.
  • Take a bleder add fried onions,tamarind,salt and grind well.
  • Take a pan add 2tsp of oil,mustard seeds,curry leaves and asafoetida.
  • Now add this chuttney to the pan and switch off the flame when it starts to boil.
  • This chuttney can be served with "Idli,Dosa".
