CHICK PEAS AND GREEN PEAS BRIYANI WITH BOMBAY MIX POWDER

Chick peas and greans peas is one of the protein food items.Today i have prepared this briyani really good.All are preparing sundal and kulambu varities.Just u can try this chick peas and green peas briyani.



Ingredients:
  1. Chick peas-1/4cup
  2. Basmathi/Samayal Rice-1cup
  3. Green Peas/pachai pattani-4tsp
  4. Large Onion-1/2
  5. Tomato-1/2
  6. Curd-1tsp
  7. Lemon Juice-1tsp
  8. Green-chili-3
  9. Ginger-Garlic paste-1tsp
  10. Bombay mix Powder
  11. Mint-4leaves
  12. Coriander Leaves-few
  13. Curry leaves-few(optional)
  14. Cardamom-1
  15. Bay leaf-2
  16. Butter/Ghee
  17. Water
  18. Salt-to taste

Method:
  • Soak ad wash the basmathi/samayal rice for minimum 1hr.
  • Soak and wash the chick peas,grean peas for minimum 6hrs.(or)U can buy the frozen chick peas and green peas.
  • Place a pressure cooker,add chick peas,green peas and water.
  • Pressure upto 5 or 6 whistles.
  • Remove the peas and filter the water.
  • Take a pressure cooker,add butter/ghee,bay leaf,cardamon,ginger-garlic paste,green chili and fry well.
  • Add mint and coriander leaves.Add finely chopped sliced onions and tomatoes.
  • Add boiled peas,curd,lemon juice and mix well.Wait for 3mins.
  • After add soaked rice,Bombay mix,salt and mix well.
  • Finally add 2 1/3cup of water,finely copped coriander leaves.
  • Close the lid pressure upto 5 or 6 whistles.

  • Hot and serve with "Curd Bachadi".
