Cabbage-Carrot and Peas Pulao

Cabbage-Carrot and Peas pulao is not very common but taste is good.I served this pulao with palak paneer.Palak panner and pulao is a very good combination of this dish.Simple and easy to prepare this pulao.


Ingredients:

  1. Basmathi Rice/Samayal Rice-1cup
  2. Cabbage-1/2cup(shred)
  3. Carrot-1/2cup(shred)
  4. Peas-1/2cup
  5. Onion-1/2(sliced)
  6. Ginger-garlic Paste-1tsp
  7. Cardamom-1
  8. Bay leaf-1
  9. Green-chili-4 or 5
  10. Cinnamon-1/2stick
  11. Cloves-4
  12. Curd-1tsp
  13. Coconut milk-1cup
  14. Water-1 1/4cup
  15. Mint leaves-few
  16. Coriander leaves-few
  17. Salt-to taste
  18. Oil-6tsp


Preparation:
  • Soak and wash the rice for minimum 1/2hr.
  • Heat a pressure cooker,add 6tsp of oil,cardamom,bay leaf,cinnamon,cloves,mint leaves,coriander leaves,ginger-garlic paste,onion,green-chili and fry well.
  • After 3mins add shred cabbage,carrot,peas,curd,salt mix and fry well.
  • Add soaked rice,coconut milk,water and mix well.
  • Close the lid and pressure upto 3 or 4 whistles.
  • Remove the lid and serve hot with "Palak Paneer".
