Ingredients:
- Basmathi Rice-1/2 kg
- Chicken-1/2 kg
- Large onion-1
- Tomato-1
- Cinnamon-1/2stick
- Cloves-4
- Cardamom-2
- Bay leaf-2
- Ginger-Garlic paste-1tsp
- Curd-1tsp
- Green chili-2
- Red-chili powder-1 1/2tsp
- Coriander Powder-2 tsp
- Mint leaves
- Coriander leaves
- Salt-to taste
- oil
- Water
Method:
- Heat the pressure cooker,add oil,cinnamon,cloves,cardamom,bay leaf,mint leaves,coriander leaves, onion,ginger-garlic paste and fry well.
- After raw smell goes out add tomatoes,green chili,curd and mix well.
- Add chicken,red-chili powder,coriander powder,salt and mix well.
- Add some of water and close the lid.
- Pressure upto 4 or 5 whistles.
- After 5whistles remove the lid and mix well.
- If u have excess amount of chicken gravy water.don't worry just boil 5mins (or) u can take the chicken gravy water in a separate bowl.
- Soak and wash the basmathi rice for minimum 1hr.
- Take a kadai,add 2tsp of oil,soaked rice,cinnamon,cloves,cardamon,bay leaf,water and mix well.
- Do not cook fully.just halfly boiled the rice and remove it.
- Take a non-stick pan,add 1tsp of oil and drop the boiled chicken.
- Add boiled rice on top of the chicken.Add some finely chopped coriander leaves and mint leaves.
- Spread the chicken gravy water on full sides.
- Add balanced rice on top of the gravy.Add some coriander leaves,mint leaves,chicken gravy water.
- Finally close the banana leaf or muslin cloth on top of the rice and cover it.Wait for 10mins.
- After 10 mins hot and serve with "curd bachadi,chicken kulambu,boiled egg".
